Our Story
Quality childcare is so difficult to find.
At least that is what I believed over three decades ago. Going through seven childcare providers in three months left me vulnerable, anxious and in despair. Until I walked into a back room of a school where my son was in a basinet. The ledge of the wall was propping up the bottle and he was sucking air. I literally lost it for a moment, grabbed my son and heading out the door. I got home and fell to my knees asking God “what do you want me to do” and hearing in that very moment “I WANT YOU TO DO IT BETTER”.
I quit my job the next day and have been on a mission to make sure that Happy Home is a place where Children learn to love God, learn to practice the 9 fruits of the Spirit which are
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, long-suffering, gentleness and self -control.
Our purposeful activities create an environment where children learn to regulate their emotions, work together in unity, create a mindset of abundance, speak with confidence and conviction and learn to be self – reliant.

Some of the aspects that make our facility unique include
Meditation that regulates emotions and teaching children to focus on all the things they are grateful for as well as those things that they would like to improve
We have a Parent Advisory Board who helps us with community events such as feeding the homeless, visiting nursing homes, Poetry Night where children recite poems from Great American Authors.
Since Happy Home is so diverse, Multicultural Night is a time where families have the opportunity to talk about where they are from and the wonderful foods, culture and history that go into their identity.
Daily Affirmations are recited to remind the children that they can be all that God has created them to be.
Mentoring – Children four and five years old read books, help out, and play with children 1-3 years old on a daily basis which fosters leadership skills.
Our Montessori curriculum is combined with Guiding Light Principles, educating children on the importance being a “good neighbor” and self – reliance skills. That is important because self-confidence is closely tied to a child believing that they can do things for themselves.

Cleanliness Protocols
We use daily non-toxic cleaning products daily in order to maintain an environment that stops the spread of germs. We also teach good hygiene, including diligent handwashing.
Security
We strictly limit access to our center to authorized personnel and parents and family members who have expressed permission to be here. Your child’s safety is our top priority.
Transparency
We understand that you’re probably wondering what your child is up to when they’re not with you. That’s why we allow parents to check in by viewing our daily updates via Brightwheel as well as speaking to the teachers during drop off and pick up.
